August 21, 2020 - On Tuesday, August 21, 2018, county boards in Langlade, Marquette, Forest, Lincoln, Eau Claire and Kenosha counties all voted to approve cannabis advisory referendums for the November 6, 2018 general election ballot. Fond du Lac county was the only one of seven counties voting to reject a referendum proposal.

Lasee was first elected to the state senate in 2010, serving from 2011 to 2017. Previously, Lasee served in the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing the 2nd Assembly District from 1995 to 2009.

Pro-legalization Republican wins three-way primary in Neenah

August 13, 2020 - Newcomer Rachael Cabral-Guevara won a three-way Republican primary in the 55th Assembly District. During her campaign, Cabral-Guevara, a certified Nurse Practitioner, said she was open to "exploring legalizing marijuana for recreational use." GOP incumbent Mike Rohrkaste did not seek re-election.
