Central US Hemp Growers Conference and Expo coming to Madison Feb. 26-27

Yet another hemp event has been scheduled for Wisconsin since the state legalized industrial hemp in Nov. 2017. The 1st Annual Central US Hemp Growers Conference and Expo is set for Feb. 26-27 in downtown Madison at the Monona Terrace Convention Center, two blocks from the Capitol on Lake Monona.

The event features a strong suite of speakers on hemp, CBD and other aspects of the industry, including "comedic investigative journalist, solar-powered goat herder and best selling author" Doug Fine, who last spoke in Madison on Isthmus Green Day on April 20, 2013.

Leah Vukmir tops list of anti-pot Wisconsin lawmakers not returning in 2019

Longtime anti-cannabis zealot State Sen. Leah Vukmir's time at the Wisconsin Capitol is rapidly winding down and the longtime senate health committee chair will soon gavel to a close her final health committee hearing.

First Annual Wisconsin Hemp Expo in Milwaukee March 9

With the production and processing of industrial hemp now legal in the state thanks to the passage of 2017 Wisconsin Act 100 in Nov. 2017, professionally-produced hemp events are starting to happen. In January 2018, the St. Croix Chippewa held a hemp symposium at two locations over two days.

On Thursday March 9, CBD Therapeutics of Wisconsin will be holding their first annual Wisconsin Hemp Expo from 12-7pm at American Serb Hall, which is located at 5101 W. Oklahoma Ave., Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53219. Here is the link to the event Facebook page.
