The Assembly Committee on Children and Families has scheduled a public hearing on Assembly Bill 49, the companion bill to Senate Bill 10, the CBD bill that passed the full senate on Feb. 8 on a 31-1 vote. The hearing is set for Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 1:00pm in Room 412 East of the State Capitol.
The committee chair is Rep. Joel Kitchens (R-Sturgeon Bay). Rep. Scott Krug (R-Nekoosa) is the sponsor of AB49.
Looking ahead to the 2017-18 Session Calendar, the next floorperiod is March 7 to 9, 2017, making it likely it would get an Assembly floor vote at that time and then be sent to Gov. Walker. Sen. Van Wanggaard (R-Racine) sponsor of SB10 has earlier said the bill would be passed by March, and it looks like that will happen.
