With the production and processing of industrial hemp now legal in the state thanks to the passage of 2017 Wisconsin Act 100 in Nov. 2017, professionally-produced hemp events are starting to happen. In January 2018, the St. Croix Chippewa held a hemp symposium at two locations over two days.

What can attendees expect to see at the Hemp Expo?
JN: Attendees can expect to see all facets of the hemp industry. The exhibitors will cover the entire gamut of the hemp industry with seed brokers, agricultural consultants, staffing agencies, extraction equipment manufactures and end user products.
Who should attend?
JN: The person that should attend the Wisconsin hemp expo is anyone with an interest in hemp. From farmers to someone that is interested in CBD or Hemp Oil as a medicinal or nutritional supplement. With 2 staffing agencies that specialize in hemp and cannabis job placements those interested in employment in this reborn industry would be a great attendee.
What kinds of exhibitors and vendors will you have?
JN: The exhibitors and vendors are vary wide ranging. seed brokers, consultants, staffing agencies equipment manufactures and retail products.
Who will be speaking?
JN: The Wisconsin hemp Expo has 5 speaker slots Currently we have the State of Wisconsin DATCP, speaking for the first time publicly about the final rules, regulations and testing requirements. HempLogic a seed broker and consultant is scheduled to speak. Derick Cross will speak on the wide variety of end user products that can be created from Hemp. We have Mary Freeman showing her documentary and moderating a panel discussion titled Whats Next? The single slot we have will be finalized by Wednesday. I am just going through the information on a couple speakers.
Will hemp products be available for sale?
JN: A variety of hemp products will be available, hemp oils, edibles, topical lotions and creams, hemp clothing, and CBD infused products for pets. And much more.
